Swiss-type SYNCREX 12/8 is a Kentucky-designed and built eight-axis machine handles a maximum turning diameter of Ø.500 (12.7) and continues the SYNCREX tradition of extreme precision as part of the company’s High-Volume Production Action Area.
For heightened accuracy and reduced material waste, the SYNCREX 12/8 can run parts in the Non-Guide Bushing mode, also known as Chucker mode. With the 15,000rpm main spindle and 12,000rpm sub-spindle, the Syncrex 12/8 allows the customer to run small diameter parts with higher rpm’s to achieve better accuracies, surface finishes and faster cycle times.
In its standard configuration, the machine accommodates up to 27 tools – 21 static and 8 live – and accepts a wide variety of optional modular tool holders for customer-specific configurations.
The sliding-headstock machine uses a unique high-rigidity base casting (HDCC High Damping Composite Casting) exclusive to Mazak that creates greater stability, reduced vibration and thermal distortion for increased tool life, enhanced part quality and better surface finishes.
The SYNCREX 12/8 uses the MAZATROL SmoothSt CNC with 15" touchscreen panel. The control uses Mazak’s Swiss Setup Assist (MSSA) for fast and easy job setups and Mazak Dynamic Chip Control (MDCC) functionality to help break chips in tough or gummy materials. For further ease of use, the control’s soft key PLC functions include tool touch off, part cut off, retract point, and start position. MAZATROL SmoothSt also allows for synchronous control, rigid tapping with all spindles and cross and front simultaneous machining.
Like all Mazak machine tools, the SYNCREX 12/8 is backed by Mazak's comprehensive 2-year warranty, industry-leading MPower Complete Customer Care service and support program and lifetime parts availability.
