Mighty Viper PBM Series Boring and Milling machine
The PBM-135 is a precision CNC horizontal boring and milling machine with a built-in heavy-duty rotary table. The PBM series provides precision movement with high position and repeatability accuracy, and an extraordinary cutting capability. The PBM has over-sized box ways with Quadrupled-Delta casting construction for greater stability during cutting. Wide base and column structure offers unmatched structural rigidity and dampening capability. It comes with a 5? heavy-duty spindle and provides 27? of quill travel. W-Axis has two linear ways providing greater accuracy during horizontal movement. PBM also features a unique W/Y movement that automatically compensates for mechanical sagging on the quill. A 50hp gear-driven spindle can climb speeds up to 2,500rpm and provides a maximum torque of 4817 ft-lb. through a four-step gear mechanism. A variety of spindle heads are available: Universal head, 90-degree head, 90-degree extension head, and quill support. A rotary table offers a positioning and repeatability accuracy at ±10 arc seconds. Its duplex gear transmission provides exact and even movement, a yielding zero back-lash table rotation. Table surface is up to 63” x 72” with a maximum table load of 29,000 lb.
