Qmonix Elastomer 912T
Developed for use in bio-compatible applications where mechanical durability and tear resistance are crucial to product performance, the Qmonix Elastomer 912T is low compression set and has excellent resistance to water and steam environments. Qmonix 912T exhibits high dielectric strength and has been tested in accordance with ISO-10993-5 and USP Class VI requirements.

Medical designers wanting to improve product performance will appreciate the highly lubricious material portfolio that Quniton brings to the medical industry. These Quniton materials have permanent, low coefficient of friction (CoF) surface properties. They minimize friction, wear and abrasion in medical valves, plungers, caps and seals and are rapidly being utilized for many medical products.

Quniton boasts a biocompatibility USP Class VI and ISO 10993-5 certification of the base material. Quniton maintains its original form and sealing force, retaining integrity throughout a product’s life cycle. Quniton resists severe chemical exposure to acids, bases and solvents and also maintains good thermal stability at temperatures as high as 500°F (262°C). The low CoF of Quniton provides resistance to bonding or sticking to a wide variety of materials and itself and therefore is a good aide in assembly and disassembly operations.
