Effective immediately, Platinum Tooling Technologies Inc., will be selling products from Gewefa, a manufacturer of hydraulic tools made in Germany.
The company manufactures a wide range of hydraulic clamping solutions for machining centers, grinding machines, live tools lathes, as well as Swiss-style machines. Hydraulic clamping adapters for live tool lathes and Swiss-style machines include adapters for both ER output live tools and boring bar holders.
Hydraulic clamping offers several advantages such as quick change, high accuracy, dampening, added flexibility and coolant-thru capabilities.
For live tools, options are available for both internal and external collet nut styles. Used with Heimatec live tools, they offer an alternative tool holding system for ER collets.
Clamping solutions for static tools are available for use on both Swiss-style machines and CNC turning centers.
