Rechner’s Intrinsically Safe Capacitive Sensor model KA9345 has the CSA Group Certificate of Compliance. This sensor is AEx marked intrinsically safe for explosive atmospheres, approved for Class I, Div. 1 (Zone 0) gas. The sensor comes in the standard and convenient size M30 x 1.5mm. The sensing range of 2mm to 15mm is adjustable. For fine tuning the ON/OFF point of the sensor, use the 20-turn metal potentiometer.

The sensing field is shielded for flush mounting. The cable is 5m long. The PTFE housing is chemical-resistant to acids and is ideal for working in areas with chemical-aggressive media.   Included with the sensor is a protection set (cable gland included) that can be installed on the back of the sensor to cover the potentiometer. Installing the protection set increases the IP rating to IP67. Permitted ambient temperature is -25°C to +70°C. Two PTFE mounting nuts are included.
