When processing orthopedic implants, avoiding part-on-part contact is critically important and the R 150 DL-2 rotary vibrator solves this problem by mounting the workpieces to a fixture inside of the work bowl. With this specialized process, the movement between media and workpieces is much more intensive compared to the workpieces moving loosely in the media. This allows for the complex geometries of the work pieces to be reached.
The R 150 DL-2 can process a variety of orthopedic parts, including: hip femoral heads, acetabular cups, knee joints (femur & tibia), shoulder joints, and ankle joints.
This compact vibratory machine is ideal for deburring, edge radiusing, surface smoothing, and high-gloss polishing. Surface roughness readings of Ra 4µin – 6µin can be easily achieved.
