The Speedgrip Finger Chuck is a solution to meet the need for distortion-free/reduced workholding. It merges the attributes of a diaphragm, one-piece flex plate for concentricity and repeatability with that of a collet, with individual fingers that grip 360° with contour compensation.
The finger chuck is engineered to conform to the part rather than the part taking on the form of the workholding – holding with just the right amount of pressure for the machining operation. Once the part is machined removing all or most of the distortion, the subsequent operations are simplified and may even eliminate previously necessary ones.
