Tooling U releases the sixth version of its Web site. Since originally launching the site in 2001, Tooling U has periodically released updated versions, free of charge to subscribers. This latest version improves the appearance and design of the Web site, while adding various different features that assist training administrators with the use and reporting of the site.
The new site integrates a competency model into the site's reporting features. This competency model contains typical industry job titles that tie together hands-on training with the appropriate online classes.
Training administrators can also use templates, which save the settings for student accounts and can be reused for new students.
Tooling U offers competencybased online training for machinists, maintenance professionals, welders and assemblers, as well as customcreated training material for Fortune 500 manufacturers.
