H & W Technology is pleased to announce that its Stericert Co. division has introduced an upgrade control system for Joslyn resistometers.
Using proven Allen-Bradley Micrologix PLC and Panelview touchscreen user interface, this system is a drop-in replacement for aging Modicon 84 or Opto-22 controls systems.
The upgrade system maintains the available cycle options and performance of the existing system and provides cycle records using existing data recorders. It also provides cycle data output to an Ethernet printer, adds an end-of-cycle buzzer, and automates control of an external water booster pump. Cycle data may be saved to a USB flash drive as well.
Options include cycle phase and cycle temperature optimized boiler temperature control, water pressure and tank level monitoring, and automated tank drain.
Safety upgrades including an Emergency Stop, controls and other high-voltage items situated in a watertight NEMA 4/NEMA 12 enclosure, a door switch to avoid starting a cycle with the door open, and an optional Master Safety Relay (IEC compliant) configuration.
