Vargus’ Groovex micrOscope system for internal micro-machining operations in bores as small as 1.0mm (0.039”) adds new tools that will be showcased at IMTS 2018 in Booth #432251. Additions to the micrOscope program include three new toolholder designs for increased clamping and versatility and select micrOscope inserts available with coolant in different boring, grooving operations.
Shrink toolholder features:

- Shrink tools are available for all micrOscope inserts in 4mm to 7mm insert diameter
Round tools and double-sided round tools without shoulder:
- Four-flat design
- Can be placed from both sides of the machine tools table
- Round tools are available for all micrOscope inserts, in 4mm (0.157”) to 7mm (0.276”) insert diameter
- Double-sided round tools are available in 4mm & 5mm (0.157” & 0.197”) or 6mm & 7mm (0.236” & 0.276”)
Inserts with coolant features:
- High-pressure coolant thru tools
