Swiss-type, fixed headstock lathes

The next-generation Cincom L32 sliding-head lathe available in three models – L32 VIII, L32 X, and L32 XII – offers a range of modular tooling for versatile, flexible production. The all-axis, simultaneous Cincom System M70 Control (Mitsubishi Meldas 70LPC) offers editing functions via multi-line, multi-axis programming along with superimposed and synchronized control. The bar-loader axis (A7) simplifies tough applications. Easy switching between guide bushing and non-guide bushing mode enables efficient handling of long and short workpieces.

Modular machine monitoring

Genior Modular VM-03 provides predictive maintenance via vibration, gravity, and temperature monitoring; condition monitoring; dynamic collision and crash detection; and simple process monitoring. It integrates easily with machine tools, equipment, robots, and the Genior Modular Tool and Process Monitoring Solution.

The VM-03 provides soft stop, hard stop, temperature, and gravity alarms within 5 seconds of an event. It records all event data for process monitoring, revealing any anomalies.

The Genior system, an automatic solution with multi-sensor, multi-screen visualization capability, monitors the machine, spindles, axis, and tool for optimal cutting process.

Automated inspection data collection

Inspection Manager’s one-click architecture automatically extracts geometric dimensioning & tolerance (GD&T) requirements from 2D drawings and 3D models, digitizes the prints with automatic ballooning, creates inspection plan reports, and stores information and measurement tools in a centralized database.

An integrated statistical process control (SPC) module enables real-time monitoring of variations in the manufacturing process with inspection results automatically captured from a range of metrology tools. Manual data can be collected on the shop floor using tablet-based applications, IM Explorer, and IM eXpress. All metrology tools, systems, and certificates can be stored and managed in Inspection Manager’s centralized database, alerting users when calibrations are due and when certifications need to be updated.
